Heat Pumps for Northwest Vermont Homes
A heat pump heats your home in the winter and cools it in the summer with one system. Brock’s Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning installs, services and cleans heat pumps for homes across Franklin, Chittenden and Grand Isle counties. As a Daikin Comfort Pro dealer, we’re trained on the full Daikin line, and installation estimates are always free.
Which Heat Pump Is Right for Your Home?
Ductless mini-splits
Indoor units mount on a wall, the floor or the ceiling, so each room or zone gets its own temperature. They’re a good fit for homes without ductwork, additions, and rooms that never stay comfortable. You can also turn off rooms you aren’t using.
Ducted heat pump systems
If your home has ductwork, or you’re ready for a full upgrade, a heat pump paired with an air handler heats and cools the whole house through your vents. We can also add whole-house dehumidifiers and air exchange systems.

Daikin Comfort Pro Dealer
Daikin Comfort Pros are trained to install, maintain and repair the full Daikin line. That training is why we install Daikin heat pumps in homes like this Fletcher log home, where we set the outdoor unit on fieldstones so it blends into the landscaping.

Rebates & Financing
Efficiency Vermont offers rebates and low-cost loans on qualifying heat pumps, and as a member of their Efficiency Excellence Network, our installs can qualify. Programs and amounts change often, so check their site or ask us when we quote your system. We also offer financing through FTL Finance.
Keep It Running
Dirt, pollen and mold build up inside a heat pump and make it work harder. We recommend a professional cleaning once a year.

Heat Pump Questions
Will a heat pump keep my house warm in a Vermont winter?
Today’s cold-climate heat pumps are built for Vermont winters, and many homes here use one as their main heat. Some homes keep their furnace or boiler as a backup. We’ll tell you honestly what makes sense for your house.
Do I need ductwork?
No. Ductless mini-splits don’t use ducts. If you already have ductwork, a ducted system may be the better fit.
How often should a heat pump be cleaned?
Once a year for most homes, ideally in the spring. Homes with pets, smokers, or heavy cooking may need it more often.
Can you service a heat pump you didn’t install?
